Point Lobos

Named for the iconic California coastline where land meets the Pacific, Point Lobos captures raw, elemental beauty in glazed high-fire stoneware. Crafted in Japan using historic ceramic production techniques, each tile features distinct iron speckling and organic glaze movement.

Beauty meets resilience in this premium glazed stoneware mosaic. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, Point Lobos withstands sun, rain, freeze-thaw cycles, and coastal conditions while maintaining its distinctive handcrafted character. Whether used for shower walls, backsplashes, pools, fireplaces, feature walls, or outdoor living spaces, it offers lasting performance with an unmistakably artisanal aesthetic.

Each mosaic showcases the collection’s signature tonal variation, celebrating the beauty found in nature rather than manufactured uniformity. No two tiles are identical. Glazes ebb and flow across the surface, creating depth and movement, while naturally occurring iron markings emerge like ancient impressions in stone. The result is a richly textured mosaic with an organic, lived-in character that brings warmth, authenticity, and enduring craftsmanship to any environment.

Special Notes

VARIATIONS: Since variations are common in artistic ceramic tile, we recommend final selection be made from an actual tile mock-up. To achieve optimal results in shading, layout and design, tile should be randomly selected from multiple boxes during installation. We recommend a minimum of 10% overage on all orders. Please take care when grouting and protect surface from abrasion. Installation constitutes acceptance. We advise retaining control samples to aid in color matching if additional material is required (match not guaranteed).

MAINTENANCE & CARE: Clean regularly with warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid harsh acids, bleach, or highly abrasive pads that may alter glaze sheen. Suitable for wet, submerged, and freeze-thaw exterior conditions when installed per ANSI A108 standards.
