Well, it is finally here….
Remember when your first back to school assignment in the fall was to write about how you spent your summer vacation? Did it go something like this?

I played Baseball for a solid week with the other kids in the neighborhood. I got pretty good at hitting the ball over the fence….
(The fence looks like this from home plate.)

One day, my Dad took the whole family to the lake. The best part was jumping in to the blue water from the tree swing. The moss on the trunk got pretty slippery.

My sister and I tried to catch some fish with our bare hands. I almost got one that was like 4 feet long.
The scales felt weird.

In August we met our cousins at the grand Canyon, and I found a lot of cool rocks for my collection. I got some dolomite, and quartz.

There was also some cool fireworks on the 4th of July…
*************************************************************************************
And… I ate lots and lots of butterscotch candy that my Nana gave me….

We built some campfires from old wood…
*************************************************************************************
And… I helped my mom in the garden…
*************************************************************************************
I rode my bike past the picket fence at the end of the street for the first time.
And it was fun, but too short.
