Nominal Measurements
The Historic Bridge Tiles actually measure
(5 7/8″ x 35 7/16″) but are listed at 6×36″
Actual vs Nominal sizes can vary quite a lot sometimes.
Like 2x4s in lumber are not really 2×4
European tiles use Metric measure
which does not always translate to nice, even inches and feet.
This is just one reason that 10-20% overage is recommended and Rounded up box quantities of tile can be a seemingly odd square footage total.
