Salary: Hourly/Commissions Based + Benefits
Shift: 8 hour/day, Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm (full-time)

Reports To: Branch Manager
Where: This full-time opportunity is a fully on-site position based in our listed showroom. Must be able to commute reliably to the showroom location.

Job Summary:
Sells ceramic tile, natural stone, porcelains, metals, glass and related products for distributor to residential builder, tile contractor, commercial or residential architect as well as interior designers and individual homeowners at customer’s sales office or design center, subdivision, or by referral to our company showroom for individual selection with qualified interior designer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Observe and follow Company policies, standards and rules of conduct. Protect Company and customer information.
- Continuously compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
- Travel throughout assigned territory and contact by telephone, regular and prospective customers to: Solicit purchase of our Company products; Solicit orders; Encourage visits to our company showrooms for selections of product; Close the sale.
- Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasize relevant features.
- Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
- Prepare monthly sales call plan, broken down by week and by day with specific number of calls to achieve each day.
- Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts.
- Work with Inside Sales Representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
- Track stock levels.
- Coordinate customer training.
- Submit credit applications or new customer data and other sales data for current customers to Credit Department for entry into computer database.
- Develop, create and maintain relationships with purchasing customers.
- Prepare and track goals and challenges for each individual account.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
- Participate in and attend trade shows.
- Be active in outside professional organizations (HBA, NARI, etc.).
- Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Spend long periods standing/walking around showroom
- Frequently lift and/or move tiles and tile samples up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Culture:
Our showroom design teams work together to create a welcoming environment for our customers, from walking through our doors to finalizing a project. The work environment can be very fast paced with multiple clients requiring attention, sometimes several at a time, in addition to daily phone calls, emails and scheduled and unscheduled appointments with clients, vendors and/or managers.
